WeChat part 2- Tips and tricks for Tourism professionals

If you are interested in capturing some of the Chinese visitors that come to the U.S. every year, you should become familiar with WeChat. I recently recorded a webinar on WeChat basics, and have also posted several other articles on the subject of WeChat that I will list at the end of this post. This post will give you some WeChat tips and tricks to make using this platform even more helpful.

Tips and Tricks

This is a presentation I gave at the RTO East summit earlier this month. This webinar will give you some additional information on how to use more of the features available on WeChat. You will learn how to use Voice Chat, try another simple tool to remember where you have met people, how to translate messages and more.

Why should you learn WeChat?

WeChat is the social media app in Asia that has evolved to become a payment and booking system, an advertising platform and more. I  bet that you have been approached by one of the many U.S. based companies offering to set up a WeChat account for your business. Whether or not that’s a good idea for your tourism business, I don’t know. But if you are familiar with WeChat and comfortable using it, you will be more informed on what it can do to promote visitation.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, it’s important for us to all keep learning. Whether that’s following a new blog ( like AttractionsCoach.com!) or learning a new technology, stretching your brain is a good thing!
