WeChat Ready Training

WeChat logoWechat is the social media app used by over 90% of the Mainland Chinese population. For those of us in the tourism industry looking for ways to get more Chinese visitors and gain a competitive advantage over other tourism destinations, becoming WeChat Ready and being comfortable using it is key.

I have been using WeChat since 2012 and use it daily to converse with tour operators, give information to tour guides bringing groups to the museum where I work, and build relationships.

Teaching others how to become WeChat ready is a passion of mine, and my experience as an adjunct professor has helped me be effective and engaging when I conduct WeChat ready trainings.

I travel to China at least once a year so I see first hand how the explosive growth of this app has taken over the economy and changed the way business is conducted.

WeChat ready training DMO testimonials

New York State DMOs

In September 2017 Sally Berry, proprietor of TheAttractionsCoach.com, gave an exceptional presentation to the WeChat for NYS DMO'sNew York State Destination Marketing Organizations on China Readiness and WeChat. Sally provided CEOs, Directors of Sales and Marketing Managers from DMOs across New York state with valuable insights into the China marketplace and taught an interactive session on WeChat. By the end of the sessions, we were conversing with each other and connecting with Chinese operators via WeChat. Sarah Foster, Oneida County NY DOS, was able to use the WeChat platform within a few days of the workshop during a sales mission in California to connect with Chinese operators. She reported that it made a tremendous difference in the level of credibility and respect experienced during appointments.

RTO Summits - North American Journeys

speaking at RTO EastThe NAJ Group has known Sally Berry for the past eight years through her work promoting Corning Museum of Glass to the tour and travel industry.

What has impressed me about her was the insights and perspective she brought through her experience as a DMO, a receptive tour operator and now, as an attraction.

She is one of those rare professionals who is always helping colleagues by freely sharing her accumulated wisdom with them as well as sales advice.

For the past eight years, she’s been a regular presenter at our RTO Summits due in part to the respect she has generated within the industry and the fact that she has evolved into an industry thought leader.  She has consistently been one of the top three rated presenters who is conversant on a number of topics and has her pulse on the trends that are shaping the market.

I would definitely recommend her as a speaker.

What a pro!  The WeChat webinar for Travel South USA partners was a huge hit - thank you, Sally, for patiently walking thru how to use WeChat and even more importantly, taking the time to explain in "real world" language, why it is important to every tourism professional to understand and use this powerful communication tool.  What we Chat is not optional in the Chinese relationship landscape, and we appreciate your savvy explanations and "translations."  The Webinar format worked even better than I had hoped.   你太好啦! nǐ tài hǎo la! - You're the Best!

Sally Berry's WeChat class was just what I was hoping to find in order to better understand this incredible communications tool to Chinese markets. Thanks to her seminar, I can use WeChat to make friends and cultivate relationships in a professional yet very comfortable way. WeChat is essential in communicating to Chinese travel pros and Sally is an excellent guide to utilize this vital tool. Thank you Sally!

Sally makes her seminars comfortable, & fun. She doesn't speak at you. Because of that, out of all the seminars I've attended, I've learned the most from her. She taught me the set up of my WeChat account, how to use it, be active on it, & most important, how to be comfortable asking friends, tour operators, & colleagues to connect with me on it.
