Are you ready to learn about 2020 Tourism Trends?

The 2019 Trends Report

If you are a long-time reader of my blog, you know that every December I share a list of Tourism Trends I see for the following year. And because change is good, every year I also change the format of how I share the information.

Last year I realized that sharing content via video is a key trend, so I shot short videos of each of the trends. (You can check them out here!).

And now its time to share Tourism Trends for 2020 and beyond!

Sharing information helps all of us

Many of you have told me that my weekly posts are very helpful and that you share them with staff, others in your organization or your tourism partners. Sometimes it can be difficult to find resources that will answer your questions, or give you tools to grow professionally so I am quite happy to help.

And that’s when I realized that reaching out to friends and asking questions is something I do all the time. So for the 2020 trends, I reached out to some of my friends who are experts in their area. They all graciously agreed to send me content despite their hectic schedules and I am thrilled with the information they shared.

I am compiling the information and will have it available in a Report before the end of the year, but in the meantime, I wanted to share some of their knowledge, insight, and expertise. We all know that who we know determines our level of success ( Remember this post?) and I am where I am today because so many others took the time to explain things to me and share with me what they were seeing.

Sneak peek in 2020 Tourism Trends – Erik Wolf of  World Food Travel Association.

I first met Erik many years ago when he was speaking at a NY State Governor’s Tourism Conference. I then hired him to speak at the annual Finger Lakes Institute that I created as a 3-day tourism educational conference when I was working at a regional DMO. He was full of information, insight and ideas. He then founded the World Food Travel Association and has taken his passion to new heights. Listen below to his thoughts on Global food trends. I think you will find food for thought here ( see what I did?!)

Keep an eye out for next week’s post and the next trend!
