Buy something for yourself while you are online today!
I don’t think I have ever started a blog post telling my readers to go spend money, but today I am! Many of us will be spending time online shopping over the next few weeks. Tell your family you want a book this year for a holiday gift, or even better, buy one for yourself!
Are you a reader?
A recent Gallup poll says most Americans read 13 books a year. Do you? (Sorry to my international readers – I couldn’t find statistics for your reading rates.) Most successful people will say that reading is what helped set them apart, consider new concepts, and learn from others’ trials and tribulations.
Tourism is a business so reading business books consistently is one of the best ways to keep growing in your role. Business books can be dry, and do not always apply to our industry. After all, we sell experiences and memories, not widgets.
