I subscribe to many tourism industry newsletters. I like to be in the know, have current updates to share with others and even learn how other countries and cultures manage tourism.
So it was an attractions industry newsletter out of the U.K that had a link to this great research paper.
It is called 2017 Voice of the Visitor- Annual Outlook on the Attractions Industry. ( The link seems to work better from Internet Explorer than others such as Chrome.) The study was sponsored by PGAV Destinations, H2R Market research and blooloop.com.
Findings
I will let you all read through this extremely thorough dive into visitors and many different sector of the attractions industry. The timing is good for these insights since many of us will be working on our 2018 budgets shortly. I will explore this data and the insights in some future blogs, but for now I wanted to get this great tool into your hands.
Final words
It seems there is never a shortage of research on destinations and why visitors travel. It is not as easy to find research that is aimed just at attractions. And what is even better about this research is that it covers small attractions as well as large attractions like theme parks and zoos. Many of my readers are from smaller attractions, or destinations that feature smaller attractions. This research will be helpful to all of us. Let me know your thoughts and questions and I can cover them in a future post.
